About Us

As custom moulders we offer a full design service from concept through to models, tooling and full manufacture.

AJ Glassfibre was founded in 1999 by John Irving and Andrew Mallinson who, between them, have over 80 years’ experience in the design, manufacture and installation of GRP components. Whilst John retired from the business in 2014, he maintains an active role as a consultant to the company alongside his son, production manager Carl Irving.

As custom moulders, AJ Glassfibre offer a complete service from concept and design through to models, tooling and manufacture. We supply a wide range of components to customers in a varied range of businesses, for example, commercial vehicle, construction, general engineering, leisure, airport and utility industries to name but a few. Furthermore, whatever the size of the business, whether a small enterprise or a multi-national company, you can be assured all our customers receive the same high quality service.

With two manufacturing plants, we are able to offer components that can be produced by hand lamination, spray deposition or RTM light (closed tool moulding) processes. With this complete range of manufacturing capabilities we are able to select the most cost effective method of production, whether your requirement is a small engineered component or a large complex production run.
